Pikmin Adventures Ch 9

We were down there for another 3 hours. Waiting there, thinking of something we could do. I looked at Louie, who didn't look so good. I scooted over to him on my knees and asked him what was wrong.

"This is all my fault..." he sighed.

"No, it's not Louie." I said confused.

"Yes, it is. We wouldn't be in this situation if I hadn't eaten those golden pikpik carrots..." he confessed.

I looked at him surprised, "W-what...? I-I thought it was a space bunny."

"I lied." he sighed, "I ate them."

At the mentioning of pikpik carrots, I placed my hand over my growling stomach. Louie realized that he was hungry as well, and he frowned. 'What I would give for some of those right now.' I thought. My stomach growled again, and I sat down. Louie tried once more to free himself, he squirmed and twisted in the hole that contained him. He was able to turn himself sideways a bit, and pull himself. Surprised, I got up to help. I gripped Louie's hands and pulled hard until he started yelling in pain, but I could feel him coming loose, so I just pulled harder.

"OW STOP! STOP!!" he yelled, "You're gonna pull my arms off!"

I continued pulling, planted my feet to the ground and shifted my weight to pull back, and then he came loose, sending me back, and him forward.

I got up and cheered, "Yes! We did it!"

I raced over to Louie and we went to the geyser to finally get out of the Hole of Beasts. But we didn't end up at base camp like we usually did, and it was midnight.

"Uh oh..." Louie whispered.

"What?" I asked.

Louie pointed behind me, and I was afraid to turn around and see a bulborb, but instead there were some idle red pikmin. Probably left behind, and managed to stay away from the bulborbs. I whistled and they came running over. I counted them up and our one white pikmin. (I had almost forgotten that we had one.) We had 1 red flower, 2 buds, and 4 leaves counting the white pikmin.

"Seven pikmin isn't a bad start." I said.

"We need to avoid the night creatures if we want to keep them." Louie pointed out.

"Right." I agreed.

The pikmin were shaking, they were probably scared because they knew that they shouldn't be here at night. We found the base camp where Olimar would land the next day, and we slept.
